SALTO Systems will once again be exhibiting its versatile access control systems at KOMMUNALE in Nuremberg this year (18-19 October 2023). On stand 9-650, the company will show how its solutions contribute to more secure and efficient building management.

The separation of public and non-public areas for users at federal, state and municipal level is one of the core tasks of access control solutions. The aim is to provide employees with a secure and trouble-free working environment, to make sensitive data accessible only to a limited group of people, and at the same time not to lose the character of an open institution.

Mechanical locking systems are not up to these requirements: they are too time-consuming to handle, involve extremely high follow-up costs and have major security gaps. With SALTO's versatile access control solutions, mechanical locking systems are a thing of the past. Administrators can easily add or delete doors and users, create new access groups and areas and assign access rights based on this. This is transparent, comprehensible and cost-effective - and thus exactly the opposite of managing mechanical systems.

Through standardisation, access management becomes simpler, clearer, more secure and more efficient. SALTO systems are designed to control all access points in a building, a property or several locations. By flexibly changing access rights, buildings, car parks, halls, sports facilities etc. can be used by changing groups of people individually and, if necessary, for a limited period of time. In this way, not only can buildings be better managed, but conferences or cultural events can also be held safely and with significantly less organisational effort. At the same time, the systems ensure selective, efficient and traceable use of, for example, offices, meeting rooms, changing rooms, technology and sports equipment.

In certain dangerous situations, centralised or decentralised emergency locking can contribute to de-escalating the situation by sealing off rooms or areas and thus making them inaccessible. This function protects staff and restricts escape routes for perpetrators at the push of a button.

SALTO's system platforms offer comprehensive integration options, some of which will be on show in Nuremberg. For example, linking with security and building management systems as well as IT systems such as Active Directory and ERP is possible. This allows processes and workflows to be automated and digitalised, reducing costs, errors and effort.
