Business Case Intro Text

The Skyline towers are now a reality. Since the end of 2022, the Madrid neighbourhood of Tetuán has boasted a modern, updated image, thanks to the construction of two 24-storey twin towers, 100 metres high, with a total of 600 homes for purchase and rent. The flats are equipped with the latest technology and offer spectacular views of both the city and the mountains of Madrid. These are the second tallest residential buildings in the capital, behind only the Torre de Madrid.

The project, backed by the Swiss real estate company Stoneweg, designed by Touza Arquitectos and built by Dragados, was inspired by a concept that has already triumphed in some of the main European capitals, such as London, Paris, and Amsterdam.

It takes a new approach to residential living, combining modern housing with luxury common areas: a gym, sauna, two rooftop swimming pools in each building, co-working spaces, an urban vegetable garden, green areas, garages, storage rooms and viewpoints.

When it comes to managing the whole building, one of the most important and highly valued features is how easy it is to use SALTO smart access platform. It is a simple, intuitive, and speedy application when it comes to managing permits and granting access to new residents. Another aspect I would highlight is security: both the residents and we as managers have the peace of mind of being in a protected building.

The Challenge
Text

When building the two towers, the architecture studio paid special attention to every detail. The objective was for future residents to enjoy top-notch services, similar to those of a hotel.

The focus was on an outstanding finished product and on equipping the homes with the most state-of-the-art technology in the residential sector. Moreover, the project was designed with energy efficiency and environmental friendliness in mind, which is why the two new skyscrapers have been awarded the BREEAM certificate, endorsing their economic, social, and environmental sustainability.

An infrastructure of this scale, designed to offer its residents a luxury experience, could not be lacking in a factor as crucial as security. That’s why they didn’t think twice in choosing Salto for access control from the very start. Our smart access control technology is incredibly easy to install, manage, and use. It is designed to offer maximum efficiency with maximum security.

Solution
Text

The Skyline architecture team wanted residents to be able to move about freely. This means that they could go to the gym and swimming pools or access the coworking space or the parking gate without having to depend on a reception desk to let them in – and without having to use multiple keys, with all the problems that go along with losing them.

With the help of ARCON, a Salto partner, the Salto Space smart access platform was implemented. This comprehensive smart access management solution adapts to the security and management needs of any residential facility such as the Skyline towers. It is a simple, secure, modular, and scalable system with a web-based management platform that allows a large number of doors, users, and levels of access to be controlled in an efficient, reliable, and simple way.

While making access management easier for operators, the platform also provides a better keyless user experience. Salto Space offers multiple ways to open doors for residents: smart cards, key fobs, bracelets, or digital keys via smartphones.

For common areas such as the gym, coworking spaces, terraces, and swimming pools, the XS4 One electronic lock was chosen – smart, secure, innovative, and easy to install. It is an elegant solution, like all the materials used in the construction of the Towers, and technologically advanced at the same time.

The doors of the flats are equipped with Neo electronic cylinders, available in a wide range of models to suit all types of doors. They meet the highest standards of security and also increase the level of door control, offering access to audit trails, reports, alerts, and much more.

Wall readers have been installed at the entrances to garages, main doors, and staff doors, and long-distance readers have been installed for vehicle access. Salto offers a wide range of wall readers which, when combined with Salto access controllers, can be integrated with almost any type of access control installation and application, providing a comprehensive security solution.

Last but not least, dual MIFARE/UHF cards have been supplied for vehicle access, allowing residents to enter both their flat and the car park without having to carry more than one mechanical key at all times, and with complete security.

Business Case Key benefits
