At Salto, our commitment to a sustainable future goes beyond technology. It's about taking action to protect our planet and the places in which we live and work. We're incredibly proud to share the success of our recent clean-up initiatives, which brought together dedicated teams in Spain and Ireland to make a real difference for World Environment Day 2025.
A Local Effort in with Global Impact
Our team in Salto Oiartzun, Spain, rolled up their sleeves for a powerful display of environmental stewardship at our main workspace and assembly facilities. A fantastic group of 33 participants came together, dedicating their time and energy to clear waste from our local surroundings.
The results were truly impactful: A staggering 304 Kg of waste was removed! This total was carefully sorted, highlighting the diverse nature of the litter we tackle:
- 200 Kg of general waste
- 72 Kg of light packaging
- 32 Kg of glass
This initiative was officially registered on the World Environment Day platform, underscoring our alignment with global efforts to protect our environment. You can see our action on the official map at World Environment Day events and activities.
Our efforts aligned perfectly with the 2025 World Environment Day campaign theme, #BeatPlasticPollution, reinforcing our commitment to reducing plastic waste.
The spirit of environmental action wasn't limited to Spain! Our colleagues in Ireland also took significant steps, organizing their own "basuraleza" (nature litter) clean-up. Partnering with a local youth football team, over 40 enthusiastic participants worked tirelessly, removing 55 Kg of waste from a local beach.
This cross-border collaboration highlights the shared SALTO WeConnectors that inspire our SALTO WECOSYSTEM community worldwide and our collective dedication to positively impacting the environment, whether it’s our urban spaces or our precious coastlines.

This World Environment Day is just the beginning of our call to mobilize our communities across the globe to implement and advocate for lasting solutions to #BeatPlasticPollution.

These clean-up initiatives are more than just one-off events for Salto. They clearly reflect our enduring commitment to our Sustainability (ESG) strategy and our broader sustainability goals guided by the United Nations’ (UN) similar efforts. By engaging with our communities and taking direct action, we aim to inspire others and contribute to creating and maintaining a greener, plastic-free planet for future generations.
