We are a coworking company and needed an access system that could be scaled as our platform grows. SALTO is not only scalable, but flexible and cost-effective too.
Whether you're a small coworking space with a single location or a larger coworking brand with many locations, SALTO access control offers great operational flexibility and a seamless experience for your coworking community.

Hub Australia supports over 3000 members and hundreds of businesses across its properties. Hospitality and service-focused, the experience they provide members is key to their success.
‘Our primary concern is user experience, which has to be seamless. In this regard, we have been very happy with the implementation of the SALTO system,’ says John Preece, Chief Property Officer.
Originally installed in 2017, the SALTO SVN on-premises access control system has now been rolled out to six Hub Australia sites. Demonstrating the breadth of SALTO’s technology platforms, Hub Australia has chosen to deploy future sites with SALTO Keys as a Service (KS), a leading cloud-based access control solution that offers integrations with many shared workspace management softwares.
Hub Australia uses SALTO’s unique XS4 electronic locking range and SVN access control platform to provide a stand-alone networked locking solution for over 750 access points, covering main entries to clubhouses, lifts, internal doors, meeting rooms, member offices, locked storage areas and amenity areas. These are equipped with a combination of SALTO XS4 electronic locks, cylinders and wall readers.
Providing state-of-the-art workspaces and premium amenities also raised aesthetic considerations. SALTO electronic locks come in a wide range of finishes to suit any interior design, and Hub Australia selected XS4 One and XS4 Mini electronic locks in a completely black finish to complement its stylish interiors.
The SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) allows stand-alone locks to read, receive and write information via SALTO Data-on-Card technology. With this, member and staff related access information is stored in an encrypted format on the smart card with on-line wall readers able to update (and receive information from) the cards at any time anywhere in the property. The SALTO Wireless Network includes all the features of SVN but additionally allows users to control access in real time. All locks communicate with a central server via gateways in real-time to provide the highest level of security and control. With no need to cable or run power to every lock, the solution is highly scalable and cost-effective.
Hub Australia also uses the additional features of SALTO SVN-Flex, which allows the electronic locks themselves to read and update card access information. This expands the number of updating points, increasing effectiveness and convenience for users and administrators.
John Preece sums it up, ‘We are a coworking company and needed an access system that could be scaled as our platform grows. SALTO is not only scalable, but flexible and cost-effective too.’
