Landal GreenParks is a dynamic organization that is a leader in the management and rental of bungalow parks. Landal has more than 110 parks with a total of more than 13,700 accommodations. With 63 parks in the Netherlands, Landal occupies the first place among Dutch providers of bungalow parks. 

Outside the country's borders, Landal has parks in Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Hungary and the United Kingdom. Seven of the parks have a campsite, with a total of more than 1,450 camping pitches. 

Approximately 3,000 employees work at Landal. Landal distinguishes itself from other providers by the open character of the parks. The concepts of peace, space and nature are the most important characteristics of the parks and also the most important reasons why guests choose Landal. Landal feels closely connected to the immediate environment and is committed to nature, the guests and society.

With over a hundred parks spread over nine countries, Landal GreenParks is one of the largest holiday park providers in Europe and continuously seeks improvement in their guest experience by removing any friction, enabling their employees to focus on the guests and not on administrative burdens. Technology has become a big part of this mission. Landal GreenParks was in search of a solution that could take away the friction of guests having to wait at the reception for their check-in. They were seeking a solution that was easy to integrate into the API and able to grow together with them in their mission to become more technology-driven.

The ‘Seamless arrival’ feature of Salto’s cloud-based access control solution ‘Salto KS’ turned out to be the ideal solution to cater to this desired frictionless guest experience and to grow together with Landal GreenParks into a holiday park that's built for the future. Together with Salto, Landal GreenParks has built a feature called 'Seamless Arrival', which allows guests to open their bungalows with the help of the Landal app. Therefore, they can arrive at the holiday park and drive straight up to their bungalow without the intervention of the reception or other administrative hassle. 

After the guest has logged in, Landal retrieves the Digital Key from the Salto KS API, which is loaded into the app. Most of the time, the guests arrive with a bigger group. Landal wanted the whole group to be able to use the Digital Key functionality, so they used the API to share the Digital Key with them through WhatsApp. 

The challenge that has been eliminated at the park by Seamless Arrival is absolutely that the guest no longer has to wait and stand in line for the reception, which was previously the case. This way, the holiday starts as it should: stress-free.
