With this successful integration, we have set a benchmark that we hope to extend towards future collaborations not only for the other centres of The Workshop but also with the broader coworking community.
With four locations across Singapore, The Workshop asked Salto to pinpoint an access control solution that would foster safety and security for their members. The main requirement was flexibility – members needed a fast, seamless way to book work areas and meeting rooms in multiple locations. For The Workshop, the ability to track bookings, assign rooms, and grant or revoke access rights in real-time was essential.
Additionally, they knew it was time to ensure digital access. Managing physical credentials was slowing down operations, and members were always at risk of losing or misplacing physical entry cards. The Workshop wanted to replace their physical access card system with a simple, convenient, and scalable smart access solution. With one swipe, members would be able to unlock doors, schedule meeting rooms, and gain entry into various areas on the premises.
Integration, easy installation, and efficient technical support were other important considerations when choosing the right access control system for The Workshop.
In October 2022, Salto Systems joined forces with digital partner CapitaStar@Work to develop a comprehensive, all-in-one smart access control solution for The Workshop.
The resulting CapitaStar@Work app is a B2B2C software solution that provides hassle-free digital access control. The app offers two core capabilities: Utility features, which improve productivity and offer functionality, like booking meeting rooms; and Community features, offering wide-ranging benefits like the latest community news, exclusive deals, and event notifications.
With the Salto and CapitaStar@Work app, members of The Workshop no longer have to worry about losing access cards or leaving them at home. Instead, they can easily lock and unlock doors, book meeting rooms, and gain entry to various work areas – all via a smartphone.
Using a mobile app grants enhanced security and guarantees entry every time. On the other hand, it lets community managers amend access credentials on the go, ensuring greater speed, flexibility, and efficiency.
To digitalise The Workshop even further, Salto and CapitaStar@Work eliminated all manual processes. Modernising The Workshop’s end-to-end technology stack makes it possible to sync the different existing systems in a powerful, all-in-one software platform.
It also allows for seamless integration with Salto KS. Apart from providing reliable access, this integration streamlines management and optimises operations. In the end, members get to enjoy a one-app experience like no other, erasing the need to download multiple apps for day-to-day tasks.
