Today, we are announcing a major upgrade to our Digital Key technology. The JustIN Mobile App now supports Near Field Communication (NFC)-powered "Tap to Open" functionality on iOS devices. This upgrade provides iOS users across Europe a fast, secure, and intuitive way to unlock doors by just tapping their iPhone on a Salto smart lock or reader.
For years, industry players have recognised that the simplest method for mobile door unlocking is direct physical interaction, much like using a traditional keycard. With “Tap to Open”, users can access buildings, offices, homes, and more by holding their iPhone near the Salto smart lock or reader, leveraging the convenience of NFC. This significantly enhances flexibility and security for existing JustIN Mobile Digital Key users, offering a highly requested contactless access experience.
