I might probably be right if I say that there is nobody at Salto not being astonished and saddened by the news following the unacceptable invasion of the Russian army into Ukraine. As you may already know, we have within the company employees from both countries who all are suffering from this terrible situation. In the middle of this horror, we have very much appreciated the pro-peace words and firm statements coming from all of them without any country distinction.
From Salto, we also want to raise our voice against this violence so we have decided to add ourselves to the international trade boycott that is taking place. Following this decision, we will stop taking new orders coming from Russia from 1st April 2022 and will continue so until a peace agreement is signed between the parties. Due to existing firm commitments with customers and end-users, we will however honour and deliver the current backlog of orders in house.
Also, as of today, all the profit the company will make coming from these backlog related sales deliveries will be handed to an NGO (Non-Profit Organisation) working in the relief of Ukrainian refugees who are confronted with an unprecedented drama.
This is a corporate-wide measure affecting all SALTO Group companies.
Let´s give hope to the possibility of some common sense amongst those who have the power to stop this drama.
