With hundreds of members and visitors circulating each facility daily, controlling who could access certain areas and at what time became essential – all while providing ease of movement for authorised users.

Additionally, LACS was looking for an access control solution that was both flexible and adaptable. With a diverse community of independent professionals, startups, and companies of different sizes and sectors, they required a holistic system that could be easily customisable to meet each group’s specific needs.

Salto began by carefully analysing LACS's requirements to select an ideal access control system. Each option was evaluated based on functionality, reliability, ease of use, and cost. However, Salto’s system stood out for several reasons, such as our market-leading intelligent access control solutions, proven experience, and global presence. The innovative technologies, integration capabilities, and user-friendly
interfaces further guaranteed its quality.

With the implementation of Salto's access control solution, LACS has achieved greater security and control over its facilities. Salto successfully implemented its access control solution across all five LACS locations, delivering efficient yet convenient secure access in every facility.

This smart solution involved deploying the Salto Space SVN data-on-card access control platform and installing advanced hardware such as electronic cylinders, wall readers, and smart locks across more than 430 access points. It provides coverage to a wide range of areas, from offices and technical rooms to executive suites and glass doors.

The results have been remarkable. Since introducing Salto’s integrated solution, LACS has significantly improved its security operations. Salto’s innovative smart locking technology gives operators precise control over various rooms and zones, ensuring members, visitors, and businesses feel safer and more secure on-premise.

LACS has also substantially improved its operational processes. Centralised access control leads to greater efficiency for staff. It cuts the time and costs associated with daily facility management and regular system maintenance. On the other hand, members can access authorised areas quickly and smoothly, enjoying an enhanced user experience.

Every component of Salto’s smart solution offers specific functionalities to satisfy each site’s unique requirements. For instance, we installed the XS4 Mini and XS4 Original+ to handle fragile glass doors. These smart door locks adapt to virtually any type of door without requiring invasive drilling.

Similarly, Salto fitted the main entrance areas, turnstiles, parking access, and lifts with a range of keypad readers, namely the XS Wall Reader, Panel Wall Reader, Mullion Wall Reader, and Wave XS Reader. Together with Salto control units, these devices offer total control over all access points, even in areas where installing locks or electronic cylinders isn’t feasible. Meanwhile, Salto Adaptor Kits integrated existing panic bars with Salto’s hardware. Neo cylinders were utilized at the remaining access points, guaranteeing versatility and ease of installation on virtually any type of door.

One of the most attractive aspects of Salto’s smart technology was its flexibility and adaptability. This allowed LACS to customise the solution to its needs, ensuring seamless implementation across all five locations. Also, all equipment is battery-powered, except Wall Readers. Salto Space keeps track of the battery status to provide secure and reliable access control.
