This integration leverages Salto’s powerful, best-in-class digital key technology and hospitality solutions with Alliants experience platform. The Alliants platform connects to a hotel’s PMS, allowing guests to request check-in from their mobile apps. Salto retrieves the guest’s digital key. This key is available within the app on the guest’s mobile phone. Now, guests can lock and unlock doors, amend stay details, extend their stay, change room, and even connect automatically to built-in amenities in their room – all with the tap of a button.
Another useful functionality is the ability to share room keys. All a guest can do is send a key invitation to a contact on their smartphone. The Alliants platform validates the request and initiates two-factor authentication of the recipient. Only then will the recipient receive a copy of the digital key, which they can use within the app. Salto is also updated with a joiner key for that room.
With this integration, guests can check out using their smartphone. Once check-out time passes, the digital key is invalidated, and the Alliants platform checks the guest out of Salto’s systems.
