Online check-ins allow you to save significant time and money by optimising workload at the front desk, minimising data errors in the PMS, and converting check-in into a paperless process. Offering a contactless stay can also increase guest satisfaction and provide an amazing experience.

The check-in solution provided by Nonius is fully compatible and integrated with Salto's access control technology. Thanks to the integration with Salto's ProAccess Space management software, a digital key is sent to the mobile app upon check-in. Salto ProAccess Space is also usually integrated with the property's PMS.

The Nonius-Salto integration features:

Mobile registration: Three days before arriving at the hotel, the guest receives an email invitation to check-in via the web or the hotel app.

Complete hotel online check-in: This can be done before arrival or at the hotel.

  • Before arrival, Guests can register directly on a mobile device, skipping the need for a paper signature. Along with a virtual signature, the customer can also make an online payment and give marketing consent.
  • On the arrival day, at check-in time, the guest can complete the check-in via the App, be informed of the assigned room number, and generate the Digital Key to open the room door. All this is done from within the Hotel App, which is fully integrated with Salto.

How does the Mobile Key feature work? It gives guests the ability to open a guest room door as well as common doors, such as the gym or the pool, conveniently from their mobile phones. After a guest checks in, the feature is enabled and the guest can request a digital key. This request is handled by the Nonius Integrations HUB, which receives a digital key from Salto. This key is then returned to the mobile app and will be active during the stay, allowing the guest to open the room and other doors using Bluetooth LE.
