vAccess Permissions

vAccess Permissions is a permission management software for the Salto Space smart-locking platform.

Who is allowed to grant authorisation to whom and for which security objects – building areas or zones/user groups/access points/locker locks? Are there any particularly sensitive areas? vAccess Permissions provide a solution by allowing users the power to grant or revoke permissions via a workflow that also records all steps.

Authorised users create”requests” for new access rights for persons in the intranet application. These requests are programmed either directly or through an administration level in Salto ProAccess Space. Here, requests can only be made by authorised users. In the two-level approval for sensitive areas, a supervisor must approve the request before it is programmed in Salto ProAccess Space.

Important functions include:

• Management of users (including authorisations through an administration level)
• Automatic master data import via SHIP
• Recording of authorisation requests by users and supervisors for ProAccess Space persons
• Programming of authorisations in Salto Space by the administration level or direct programming by the requester
• History of requests
• Display and printing of an access plan for each security object
• E-mail notification when requests are entered and changed
• User login via LDAP (optional) 
• Assignment of RomCodes
• Creation of new persons
• Assigning credentials to persons via Ethernet encoder (including encoder selection)

vAccess Connect AD

vAccess Connect AD imports employees and security groups from the Windows™ Active Directory as persons and groups of persons into ProAccess Space management software. The import from AD takes place automatically in the background.

Important functions include:

• Automatic creation, updating, and removal of persons in Salto ProAccess Space
• Creation of Salto ProAccess Space access groups via AD security groups (including subgroups)
• Cyclical data synchronisation (start as a service or via Windows™ task scheduling)
• Assignment of "AD properties" to Salto ProAccess Space fields
• Flexible setting of Salto ProAccess Space person parameters

vAccess Presence

With the browser-based presence monitor "vAccess Presence," users can keep track of persons present in buildings and areas. Via freely definable presence groups, the presence status of persons is set via online readers and visually displayed as tiles. The layout of the tiles can be flexibly adapted and a list of the persons currently present can be printed.

As a special feature, relay contacts can be switched depending on the number of persons present.

Important functions include:

• Display of presence/absence according to selected layout (choice of six layouts)
• Automatic login/logout through Salto ProAccess Space online doors
• Manual login/logout in the software
• Manual absence booking with a reason
• Search function by name and filter option to display groups and statuses
• Assignment of persons to a group/location
• Assignment of online doors for logging in and out
• Definition of persons not to be displayed
• Print function: List of persons with the fields status, time, group, selected free field
• Optional display of the group in which a user last logged in or out
• User authorisations (e.g. only display data without booking function for displays)
• Optional adaptation of layouts (displayed fields, size, etc.)
• Switching of online relays per group based on the number of persons present

vAccess KS Person-Import

vAccess KS is an online portal that offers extensions for Salto KS cloud based access control management. The login is conducted via the Salto KS login credentials. Salto partners can purchase the products for customer installations in the portal directly from Salto Systems.

The person import tool is a cloud software that can be used to import persons from a text file (CSV format) into the Salto KS system.

vAccess Zone-Blocker

This feature allows users to block access to certain areas or zones, for example, a hall, room, or building that may not be entered if the employee was previously in another area. There are also time parameters that can be applied, such as blocking a particular zone for just one day.

With the browser-based vAccess Zone-Blocker for ProAccess Space, areas can be monitored where, after booking at an online door in the area, for example, one or more assigned areas are withdrawn from the person for the current day via an "Alarm Event." In doing so, vAccess Zone-Blocker "remembers" the person's original access rights and resets them at a freely definable time during the night.

The currently revoked areas of persons can be viewed in a dashboard and are also protocolled.

vAccess TK

vAccess TK is a middleware between Salto ProAccess Space and the TK Elevator system, "Lift Access Control Systems (LACS)." It has been specially developed for TK Elevator's European lifts, which work with different interfaces than the North American versions.

In addition to room-related accessibility, "always accessible floors" such as the breakfast area or reception in hotels are also defined in vAccess TK and transferred to a TK Elevator. In addition to hotels, the integration is particularly suitable for office towers, hospitals, and public administration facilities.

Several lift groups can be managed, with the terminal and floor master data imported directly from TK Elevator. The software is set up via an internal browser application (intranet application).

In addition to authorisations for persons, employee authorisations can also be managed via the Salto Space person group.

vAccess Zone-Monitor

Do you have areas where only regularly trained employees are allowed?

The vAccess Zone Monitor monitors whether certain areas have been entered during a period of time. If a user has not entered an area for a predetermined length of time, the supervisor will be notified by e-mail that access rights for that particular person is about to be withdrawn. If more time pases and the person still has not entered the area, their access right is withdrawn and must be reassigned in Salto ProAccess Space.

The settings and logging of vAccess Zone-Monitor is done via an internal intranet browser application.. The connection to ProAccess Space is made via Alarm Events and SHIP.
