We hope 2018 has been a successful and fulfilling year. If you experienced challenges or defeat, we get it: we had our ups and downs, too. Through it all, we have a lot to be grateful for, so we’d like to take a moment to give an enormous thank you to our entire partner and customer SALTO Hospitality community that provides us with friendship and support.
Our New Year’s resolution is always the same: to make each year better than the last. Last year was amazing for SALTO Hospitality, culminating with the launch of the new Ælement Fusion electronic lock which revolutionised the Hospitality market. As we’re sure you’ve seen, the sleek and elegant Ælement Fusion provides a minimalistic design that blends in with any hotel décor. For more than a decade, our intention has been to create an invisible electronic hotel lock - and the Ælement Fusion is the realization of that vision. The Ælement Fusion’s small, customizable light ring reader (available in black or white) offers a discreet electronic lock for hotels looking to deploy electronic access control with a stylish, yet technologically-advanced mobile enabled solution.
Mobile access technology quickly became one of the top requests of the hospitality industry in 2018. It has opened a new chapter in hotel management, security and operations. Moving forward, the adoption of mobile access and new credential form factors such as wearables will create new opportunities for innovative use cases beyond opening doors and converged physical security in hotels. Mobile access control simplifies the secure identity management process for facility access - for both guests and staff - improving the guest experience and the security and management of the complete property. Use of SALTO’s Justin Mobile App tripled in 2018 with over 2 million mobile users accessing the platform on their smartphone to unlock doors. Hotels are dedicated to finding new ways to improve the guest experience and make hotel operations more efficient, and mobile technology delivers a strong opportunity for hotels of all types and sizes. SALTO Hospitality premium hotel smart locks and mobile solutions aren’t only for large hotels; even the smallest property can now afford to secure its access points without heavy investment in hardware and software.
In 2018, the MyLock by SALTO door lock configurator tool debuted online and millions of users worldwide have customized doors and interactively explored SALTO’s Hospitality complete smart electronic locking range. SALTO is the first access control brand in the world to offer customers a reality product experience.
