The partnership between Salto KS and MiMOR has been ideal for our business and our new Beyond product. It has enhanced residents’ experience by allowing them to easily book dining rooms or move-in on the weekends and in turn simplifies management processes.
Managing a multi-residential property can be challenging, certainly time and resource consuming considering its ecosystem. The only way the operations can be streamlined for higher efficiency and reduced opex while enhancing the resident experience, is by digitalising this ecosystem workflow. We are thrilled to have been able to assist Hallmarc in achieving this goal for Beyond through the utilisation of SALTO KS and MiMOR.

As experts in building and community management, Hallmarc had a clear vision of the elevated experience at Beyond, as well as the challenges they needed to overcome in order to achieve it. One of the core challenges was balancing full-service provision with operational overheads, which meant exploring options that would alleviate and automate many of the manual tasks typically undertaken, including resident onboarding, building management and access management, and doing so while ensuring a seamless experience for residents. Ultimately, if they could spend less time on operational tasks, then they could then spend more time adding value to Beyond’s community.
Director of Marketing and Services at Hallmarc, Alyssia Storey, explains, “Finding a system that would work for both management and residents was imperative. We wanted to ensure that whatever technology was adopted into Beyond was simple to use yet genuinely added value – not a gimmick, but a long-term solution.”
Hallmarc installed the Salto KS cloud-based smart access control and locking technology solution, throughout the building, and had it integrated with their chosen Resident and building management application, MiMOR.
The combined solution has greatly enhanced the way that both the Hallmarc team and the Beyond residents interact with each other and their building. Residents can seurely self-manage their access needs or have requests handled instantaneously and remotely. They can access the building and their apartments using a fob or digital key allocated in the MiMOR Resident App, and the same app provides a community noticeboard and facility booking features.
For Hallmarc, Salto KS has streamlined their operations while increasing security, through features such as remote management, audit trails, and the ability to immediately manage access requests across the board, from a single dashboard.
Storey explains, “In our business, the inefficiency of having to physically be on-site to open doors and monitor security has been one we have struggled with. In Salto KS we have found a system that works, that we can trust and that has significant support available if needed. Having the luxury of remote access without compromising on security has been an enormous benefit.”
Salto KS is a cloud-based access solution that operates a fully online network of wireless locks and access points. The Beyond development utilises XS4 One smart locks, rated for outdoor use, on apartment units' doors and the gym and private dining area. For secure access to the property's perimeter, lift access, and shared facilities, online Wall Readers are strategically placed at the front entry, main gates, lifts, and various other communal areas. Even utility cupboards have been transformed into smart storage, employing XS4 Locker Locks to ensure safe and secure warehousing.
When Hallmarc made the commitment to install Salto KS, they already intended to integrate the access solution with their chosen management application, MiMOR. The integrations of the two platforms enabled Beyond to bring their building into the future, streamlining their operations and extending detection and response capabilities for a better resident experience.
Jake Sharp, Director and Founder of MiMOR, explains, “Through the integration with Salto KS we are able to expand the feature set offered to Beyond. For example, with MiMOR, residents can book shared amenities. With Salto, the rest of the process becomes automated too - when residents book the Private Dining Room, they are immediately issued access for the duration of the booking – and not a minute earlier. MiMOR also notifies and issues automatic access for cleaners once the booking is concluded. There is no need for the Beyond team to be present for any part of the process.”
MiMOR, a Salto Technology Partner, is a cloud-based Management and Resident app designed to simplify multi-residential living. As a holistic solution, MiMOR enables residents, owners’ corporations and strata managers to interact, communicate and engage quickly and easily in a simple one-stop shop via web or mobile application – exactly what Hallmarc needed.
Hallmarc trialled MiMOR at another building for six months before committing the system to Beyond. Storey explains the outcome, “We found that residents of all different age groups and technology proficiency responded really well to MiMOR. The ability to book common areas such as dining spaces meant less management time wasted on menial tasks, and also gave more control and autonomy to the residents. When Salto KS explored the integration with MiMOR it gave us another layer of both security and access for Beyond.”
- A keyless building with keyless access: access is simple and secure via fob, users’ smartphones, or remotely via the MiMOR app. Smart access is now able to be applied to all users – from residents to management, contractors and guests.
- Bookable spaces: users who book a space have access automatically granted for the duration of the booking
- Remote opening: Opening doorways remotely from anywhere in the world is perfect for building management, giving trades and utilities companies temporary access, or in the unlikely case of a tenant lockout, removing the necessity to have staff on-site.
- Issue temporary digital keys: Both management and apartment residents can issue and control guest and contractor access, and they can set access to a day, time and specific access points.
- Audit trail: comfort and control, with clear logs of who tried to access what, when.
